You are about to enter the Fehmarnbelt Bird Study site which is operated by DHI for Femern A/S.
The site is dedicated to the presentation of bird telemetry studies conducted in connection with the planning of the Fehmarnbelt fixed link between Denmark and Germany.
Telemetry offers tools which allow scientists to collect data on how birds behave and how they use their habitats - for instance when searching for food. It is also used to study how birds move in the Fehmarnbelt area locally and on long-range seasonal migration.
On the bird study site you can follow the movements of individual birds tagged with satellite or radio transmitters or with GPS loggers.
